I like to read because I strive to be better. Reading is a door to learning, to knowledge, to development. I never read for enjoyment or pleasure alone; I read to gain knowledge about a particular subject that will practically help me in my life to do or understand something. I also like to be alone away from others and the noise of this world and reading helps me focus on one thing for a limited period of time.
